Frequently Asked Questions
Clear, honest answers about our mission, organizational structure, membership rules, and safety commitments.
Is Scout Protective Network affiliated with Bangladesh Scouts or WOSM?
No. SPN is an independent youth development and scouting organization. We do not claim official charter or endorsement from Bangladesh Scouts or the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) without formal documented bilateral agreements. We operate under universal scouting traditions and comply fully with national youth laws.
What age groups are eligible to join SPN?
We offer five distinct membership categories: Cub Scouts (Ages 6–10), Junior Scouts (Ages 11–15), Rover Scouts (Ages 16–25), Adult Leaders & Volunteers (Ages 25+), and International Associates.
How does SPN verify and protect youth members during outdoor camps?
Every camp requires an approved activity risk assessment and mandatory two-deep adult leadership. No adult is allowed alone with a minor scout. Every registered member has a verified digital ID card with real-time QR validation.
How do I report a safeguarding or child protection concern?
You can submit a confidential incident report online via our Safeguarding Portal (anonymously or with contact information). Reports are routed exclusively to certified Safeguarding Officers, completely isolated from ordinary administrators. For immediate emergencies, call 999 or 1098.
How are merit badges and awards validated?
Badges are never granted simply by clicking a website button. Scouts must complete documented requirements, log verified community service hours, and pass server-evaluated knowledge assessments in the Training Center.
Can our school or community group start an SPN chapter?
Yes. Eligible community leaders or certified adult scout leaders who pass identity and background checks can apply for a chapter charter through our Secretariat.
